New Dairy Facility Greenmount

R J Smyth Engineering are pleased to announce the completion of the mechanical installation within the new Dairy Facility at Greenmount College Antrim.  The contract consisted of the complete Design and installation of all water services within the parlour building and mechanical services within the new reception building.  The water services installation was designed to conserve energy within the milk cooling process and to make full use of rain water.  With 38% of electricity being used in dairy parlours to cool milk there is considerable savings to be made with the use of rain water harvesting.  A system was designed to use the collected rain water to cool the milk by using a plate cooler.  35000ltrs underground water tank and a 35000ltr above ground storage tank is also used to supply water for trough water, volume wash and pressure wash.  This project was a signature project for R J Smyth Engineering Ltd to further highlight ability to both design and install to the highest of standards  .  Congratulations to site supervisor Jonathon Tubman and his team for the hard work and unquestionable quality of the workmanship on this project Excellence in Engineering”
