2014 Projects Update

 

2014 is proving to be a very busy year within all sectors of R J Smyth Engineering Ltd.   Below is a quick preview of a number of completed and current projects.

R J Smyth Engineering Ltd are pleased to be continuing there engineering support to Linergy within their fallen stock disposal facility.  In January a replacement steam boiler was installed during a 48 hour shut down period.  R J Smyth Engineering’s scope of work involved disconnection if existing steam and condensate connections and reinstall to new installation including associate modifications and welding works.

R J Smyth Engineering Ltd is currently installing stainless steel process and services pipework for new batch system within Pritchitts process facility in Newtownards.  This project has been running over a 12 month period and is due for completion in April.

R J Smyth Engineering Ltd is pleased to be continuing to support long term customers Dale Farm Dairies within their process facilities in Northern Ireland.  Reactive and planned engineering maintenance along with new projects and upgrades have been ongoing this year to date.

R J Smyth Engineering Ltd is currently completing phase 2 AHU upgrade within JTI Gallaher Tobacco factory in Ballymena.  Due to the tight time scale for installation of 3No air handling units and associated wet and dry services R J Smyth Engineering Ltd have been busy prefabricating all pipe work and completing valve sets off site to reduce installation times.  The project is due for completion in May.

R J Smyth Engineering ltd is pleased to be continuing to carryout platform fabrication and installation projects for Lagan Construction within multiple NI Water sites in Northern Ireland.

R J Smyth Engineering is pleased to have just completed yet another project for Northern Innovation.  A borehole water treatment system was installed in Moy Park Facility in Dungannon consisting of 6” stainless steel pipe to borehole filtration and pumping system with new storage water tank and is one of numerous borehole water pipe installation projects completed in the last 12 months.

R J Smyth Engineering Ltd is currently onsite at Altnagelvin Hospital working on installation of 2No new chillers.  The project involves the installation of a temporary chiller, strip out of existing plant and services, new platform steel work, 6” pipe to 2No new chillers and associated electrical and builders work.  This project will further highlight R J Smyth Engineering’s superior organisation to complete fast track projects within critical facilities with zero down time to existing services.
